City of Austin Citywide Lighting Plan

When: Summer 2025
Overview: The City of Austin is creating a comprehensive citywide lighting plan to guide the future of its lighting systems. This long-term strategy aims to support City Council goals related to safety, security, mobility, equity, and environmental sustainability. To ensure the plan reflects the needs and priorities of the community, the project team is hosting a virtual open house and two in-person open houses to gather public input and shape a more effective and inclusive lighting strategy.
Task: Scriptwriting and creative direction for a short-form informational video, development of promotional outreach materials, website copywriting, event coordination, and advisory committee recruitment and coordination.

City of San Antonio Vision Zero Action Plan
Client: City of San Antonio
When: Spring 2024
Overview: In 2024, the City of San Antonio updated its Vision Zero Action Plan (VZAP), a community-driven strategy to eliminate all traffic-related serious injuries and fatalities by 2040. The plan reflects the City’s commitment to safety, equity, and mobility for all road users. Since joining the global Vision Zero movement in 2015, San Antonio has implemented several key projects and continues to build on this progress. The 2024 VZAP update was officially adopted in the fall of 2024 and incorporated best practices and community feedback to identify new priorities and guide future transportation safety projects.
Task: Design and development of informational materials, coordination of 2 open houses and 5 pop-up events, and drafting of the official community outreach report.

Vision Zero 2024 Update promotional flyer, 2024
During in-person events, approximately 350 community members were engaged. Attendees received a brief overview of the project and were informed about opportunities to provide feedback.

Throughout the comment period, a total of about 660 individual comments were received. Comments were submitted through interactive activities, as well as a mapping activity and comment card.

From April 1, 2024, through May 31, 2024, a total of 1,794 surveys were submitted. Surveys were available at all public events and posted on the project webpage.

Williamson County Road Bond
Client: Williamson County
When: 2023-2025
Overview: Williamson County’s Road Bond Program identifies and prioritizes transportation infrastructure projects aimed at improving safety, mobility, and connectivity across the county. The program outlines potential roadway, intersection, and active transportation improvements that may be included in a future bond election. To ensure the program reflects the needs and priorities of Williamson County residents, community outreach is conducted—including in-person open houses and property owner meetings, and online engagement tools—to gather public feedback and inform project recommendations.
Task: Lead the design and development of online engagement tools, coordinate and facilitate open houses and property owner meetings, provide regular project updates and stakeholder communications, and execute communication planning across all phases of the project. Managing public involvement for 23 projects totaling over $400 million in infrastructure efforts.

CAMPO Regional Safety Action Plan
Client: Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO)
When: 2024 - 2025
Overview: CAMPO is developing a Regional Safety Action Plan (RSAP) to enhance traffic safety across its six-county region. The plan aims to reduce and ultimately eliminate fatal and serious-injury crashes while improving transportation systems for all users. This data-driven effort is also rooted in extensive community involvement to ensure that the needs, concerns, and lived experiences of local residents inform safety strategies.
Task: Lead the design and development of online and print engagement tools, coordinate and facilitate pop-up events across the region, coordinate promotional outreach, and draft official community engagement summary.

Overview: Alliance Water is developing a comprehensive, long-range water supply strategy to ensure sustainable and resilient water resources for its partner communities. The plan addresses future demand while preserving environmental integrity and regional quality of life. Grounded in technical analysis and robust stakeholder collaboration, this initiative prioritizes both infrastructure reliability and community input to guide equitable, forward-thinking water solutions.
Task: Lead the development of informational content, coordinate and facilitate ground breakings and ribbon cuttings, coordinate with local media, periodic maintenance of engagement tools, and quarterly e-newsletters and public relations summaries.

Statewide Projects
TxDOT Statewide Active Transportation Plan
Client: Texas Department of Transportation
When: 2023-2024
Overview: In 2023, TxDOT launched the first round of public outreach for its Statewide Active Transportation Plan to strengthen walking, biking, and rolling infrastructure across Texas. This early engagement phase focused on listening to community members across urban, suburban, and rural areas to identify key barriers, opportunities, and priorities related to active transportation. Insights gathered during this phase laid the foundation for a people-centered plan aimed at improving safety, accessibility, and statewide connectivity for all users.
Task: Led the development of informational content, coordinated and facilitated 10 open houses and 20 group stakeholder meetings across Texas, and coordinated project promotion.

Overview: Chingona Fest Texas is a vibrant, women-led music and culture festival that celebrates and amplifies Latina power, pride, and artistic expression. Hosted in Austin, the festival brings together a dynamic lineup of musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs, fostering a space rooted in cultural pride, community connection, and empowerment. Through intentional programming and inclusive outreach, Chingona Fest Texas highlights the voices and talents of Latinas while building a platform that inspires and unites audiences from across the state and beyond.
